Affordable Housing for Seniors
Matheson is a not-for-profit corporation, providing affordable housing to low-income seniors. We are an independent living building – we do not provide assisted living, supportive living or long-term care services.
We host a small market in the building for local merchants to facilitate resident shopping. There is a Tenant Liaison Team that facilitates the communication of questions and/or complaints between residents and management. The building is pet-free building, and we discourage the use of scents and perfumes to provide an allergy-safe environment. All Matheson residents belong to our Tenant Association & Social Club and are welcome to participate in the planning of our activities. We have a 2-level parking garage, but there is a wait list for a spot. There is ample, free, on-street parking around the building. There is also a 24 hour telephone answering service in the case of a maintenance Emergency.
Due to COVID-19 visitors are restricted at this time. Only caregivers may visit, only one at a time, and no children under the age of 16.

Rent starts at $525/mo for Bachelor suites, and $715/mo for One-Bedroom suites. Utilities are extra.
Most of our suites have been upgraded. Rent for these suites starts at $605/mo for Bachelor suites and $795/mo for One-Bedroom suites. Utilities are extra.
There is a surcharge of $100/mo for tenants under the age of 65. When tenants reach the age of 65 a government tax incentive programme kicks in and we reduce your rent by $100/mo.
We have 150 suites in which smoking is permitted. These cost an additional $10/mo.
